Blogger Quilt Festival - Royal Gardens

Last April I was able to finish a quilt entitled Royals Gardens.  It is a block of the month pattern by Daniella Stout from Cozy Creative Designs.  Cozy Creative is my local quilt store, where I attend Breakfast Club on the 3rd Saturday of each month.  This was the project for the second semester of 2017, and I got it done within the first year of starting it!  It feels great.

The quilt was fun and easy to put together, and I love how it turned out.  I did a custom quilt design, quilting it myself on a longarm that I rented time for.  I am very proud of how it turned out, and it is now displayed proudly on our bed.

The borders were a pain to put together, but I think they make the quilt and tie it in all together.  I am glad I stuck with it, and it turned out so well.

The quilt ended up being 96" by 96", which fits our queen bed beautifully.  The backing fabric was found at Connecting Threads on clearance.  The fabric for the quilt top was from Daniella Stout's Happy Hour fabric line, which came from a kit.  The quilt is labeled, which helps us with the orientation every week.

I can not wait to see what everyone else has completed!
