In February I was able to quickly finish a baby quilt for a co-worker. The result was "Of the Woods". I found the pattern on Moda Bake shop's website, and the recipe was created by Suzanne Jackman entitled Bradley Street. When I choose the pattern, I knew I would be able to show off all of the cute woodland creature prints I had found for this project, and to incorporate a solid color to complement everything and give it a woodsy theme, would be wonderful.
I love the end product. Sometimes a quilt is hard to give away because it turned out too cute, and this was one of them. But it was always intended for a gift, and I know it is loved within the household it went to. The pattern was not hard to put together, and I was able to put the top together within a week, once everything was cut.
The quilting was a simple design of swirl flowers, which went with the whole theme of the quilt. The backing was found online, and complimented the front of the quilt. I love how it turned out.
