15 Minutes of Stitching - Week 9 2019

Let us see how this week went on the stitching front.

Days spent stitching this week: 7 out of 7
Days spent stitching in February: 26 out of 28
Days spent stitching in March: 3 out of 3
Days spent stitching in 2019: 59 out of 62
Success Rate: 95.2%
My week runs from Monday to Sunday.

I am going to continue to rave about having your own space.  It is amazing to me because I want to stitch more, even though I'm tired and I still have my 15 minutes to do at the end of the day, it is so easy to walk in there and pick up where I left off.  Sometimes I take five minutes and set up what I'm going to work on the next day, so I know exactly what I planned to do.  Before I had my own space sometimes it was hard to be motivated, especially when it is half an hour before bed, and to bring out my cutting stuff or the ironing board as that is the next step.  It is AMAZING! Progress is being made on many different projects, and I'm getting better and accomplishing my goals each month.

My fabric usage slowed down, which is what I expected as I worked on putting together some blocks, using very little additional fabric.  I also started working on my niece's ISpy quilt, which helped boast the numbers just a little.  However, I went on a shop hop, and only bought with intention, but I still bought a lot, especially when I need to be using my stash.  Everything I bought will be used in a quilt I am slowly buying for, and for a class that I will be participating in soon just to add a little more variety.  As long as by the end of the year I have used more than I acquired I will find that as a win!

Fabric out this week: .54 yards
Fabric out, in 2019: 11.50 yards
Fabric in this week: 21.21 yards
Fabric in, in 2019: 26.21 yards
Fabric difference in 2019: gain of 14.71 yards

I hope everyone had a great week!

  1. Having your own space for stitching is a game changer. I shared my sewing space with My Guy's music room. When ever I went in to sew, I would spend my 15 minutes getting his stuff off my sewing table or looking for where he put my stuff. It's a good thing we moved to a house that lets us each have our own space! Congrats on a great stitching week.
