It started like this
I am proud of the end product, yes it is not perfect as this was my first rug fix, however if you look at a distance it does not appear to be a bad fix. The dog that chewed through it and created the mess in the first place, actually ate some of the strips so I had to be creative to make it look halfway decent. It has a two strip braid around the curve because I did not have enough strips.
The rug is happily back with its owner as of last weekend as we were in the same area. We were in the same area because I was working on this
After 10 batches of jam making on Saturday, and giving some to various people this is what I ended up with. There are 6 different types, and they are all delicious (I'm sure that is the sugar talking). It was exhausting but so worth it!
I can not wait to see what everyone else has finished at Finish It Up Friday with Crazy Mom Quilts, and Whoop Whoop Fridays with Confessions of a Fabric Addict.

Boy! That is a lot of jam! Nice fix on the rug...I was fixing an afghan last month -- same problem -- dog ate the side of it.
ReplyDeleteOuch, that scares me to fix an afghan. I'm sure it came out nicely though!
DeleteI recently repaired a rug too - mine's not perfect either but you can only do the best you can.
ReplyDeleteHome made jam - delicious!!
I totally agree! Thank you for the comment!
DeleteOh, I haven't made jam in awhile. Ten batches is certainly ambitious! It is the wrong season around here just yet, but summer and fall will surely come and with it the fruits for jam making.
