15 Minutes of Stitching - Week 30 and 31 2019

Let us see how the last two weeks went on the stitching front.

Days spent stitching in the week: 14 out of 14
Days spent stitching in July: 29 out of 31
Days spent stitching in August: 4 out of 4
Days spent stitching in 2019: 210 out of 216
Success Rate: 97.2%
My week runs from Monday to Sunday.

These last two weeks was decently easy to find time to stitch.  In addition, I have been working on cutting my scraps up into the scrap saver system by Bonnie Hunter, and it feels awesome to see that pile go down a little each night.  This whole month I have some major sew days planned, which also helps.

Week 30 of 2019, I was successful, I had a large chunk of fabric out, and no fabric came in!  It feels great to see the fabric out increase.  I hope by the end of the year to get it up to 60 yards out, I plan to finish hopefully two to three quilts by the end of the year, so that should make a large dent.  We will see how that goes.

Fabric out this week: 2.68 yards
Fabric out, in 2019: 31.8 yards
Fabric in this week: 0.0 yards
Fabric in, in 2019: 137.62 yards
Fabric difference in 2019: 105.82 gain of  yards

Week 31 of 2019, I did not do so hot.  I bought some fabric online and our church's yard sale which lead my fabric in to increase significantly.  I then messed up on cutting out some pieces for a project planned, and I had to go buy fabric to replace those yardages, which did not help either.  On the bright side, I was able to push some fabric out, so that made a little dent in the difference.  Two more weeks of fabric coming in...I broke down and found some great stuff via eBay.  After that, no more unless it is to finish the current quilt I am working on.  I love flexible goals!

Week 31:
Fabric out this week: 0.91 yards
Fabric out, in 2019: 32.71 yards
Fabric in this week: 79.1 yards
Fabric in, in 2019: 216.72 yards
Fabric difference in 2019: 184.01 gain of  yards

I hope everyone had a great week!

  1. Some years it's just hard to avoid the stash enhancement. Sorry about the miss cut fabric, that's always so frustrating. At least you are finding time to stitch each day, those metrics look great!
